Categories and Levels
There are two MIl Membership categories, namely; Individual Member and Affliate. Each category consists of different levels of membership and enter requirements. Refer below for details:

Minimum Requirement:
Completed the Fellowship of The Malaysian Insurance Institute (FMII); Engaged or employed in the insurance industry for at least four (4) years.

Senior Associate
Minimum Requirement:
Successfully completed the Associateship of The Malaysian Insurance Institute (AMII) Level 2.
Professional Designation:
Fellow of the Malaysian Senior Associate of the Malaysian Insurance Institute or the letters, SnrAMIl
Associate
Minimum Requirement:
Successfully completed the Professional Certification programmes offered by MIl.
Professional Designation:
Associate of the Malaysian Insurance Institute or the letters, AMII
Certificate
Minimum Requirement:
Completed the Fellowship of The Malaysian Insurance Institute (FMII); Engaged or employed in the insurance industry for at least four (4) years.

Individuals engaged or employed in an insurance related field or in the financial services sector. Has a recognised professional qualication or degree in any discipline.

Student Educator
- Open to active students, undergraduates, lecturers, teachers of educational institutions recognised by the Ministry of Education (MO) or Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
- This category is not applicable for MIl students.
